First of all I want to thank you for your kind email card. To be remembered by you was very considerate. So thank you from my heart and soul. It meant more than you can know. Second, I wanted to tell you that your sites/blog just keep getting prettier and prettier. Someone who cares about you told me you were learning more about graphics/software and it certainly shows! So congratulations on moving forward in those ways that God has ordained for you. Third, I like the quote "there is no recession in heaven"....this last year I have had to grasp better the "be in the world but not of the world". Most of my/our (husband) lives we have worked very hard without any breaks and most often without getting compensated for it. Seemed like at every corner we were getting hustled. So we have I think become wary. But what's been interesting is that this last year when all started falling around us with everyone else but suddenly it was we who were prospering...that was scary! I kept hearing/listening to everyone's fear and I'd come home and be sick with fear as I was sure we would be getting the worst of it soon. I was sure that the lightening striking close was going to of course hit us. After all it always had for 30+ yrs. But I kept hearing "be in the world but not of it"...so I forced myself to stay away from news etc. When the places I used to go for comfort turned into places where people needed to talk out their fear and their losses, I remembered to give to them what I needed in my loss times...a listening ear, maybe some skills on how to manage more on less in groceries etc. and to offer them hope (like your blog) that there is always a time that crops must lay fallow or sometimes a field has to be left aside as we are moved onto something else. I learned many times over the years as a teen alone in a studio in cities during every holiday, as a single mother alone with her only child at a bad place for visitation, and as a parent who lost that child in the end...and now, as a wife who lives alone through most of the years....that these circumstances can break the mind or soul, or you can choose to turn them into faith without proof and become stronger inside and out. John the Baptist and Paul were righteous but alone and offended many with their reminders of what was ethical and moral. Not all is "peace and sweet" in this life when God asks us to "suit up and show up". It was said to me long ago that I "was waiting for the other shoe to drop from the one legged God"....I am learning that miraculously in these hard times for most, we are safe financially and even have a whole vacation to share thru this holiday. Now I am learning how to handle prosperity and health while not feeling guilty and helping where and when I am guided. Strange...who knew...but yet here it is today. I think you are courageous to proceed online with your faith, your doubts and your walk....everytime you type it becomes an actual material manifestation that God uses to bless others and to let them know they are not alone. It's a big world and you added your sensitive and blessed love and caring. That is no small thing. Nancy/Church (and husband who makes it possible for me to do what I do)
